Best Guitar Movie?

My vote would be Cross Roads...not the bomb with Britany Spears, the one with Ralph Macchio. Ok, so he's not much better at acting than Britany, but it had some good licks in it. For those of you who have never seen it, Ralph Macchio plays a young Guitar prodigy, who aspires to be a Bluesman.

He tracks down a retired Legend, hoping to find lost secret songs, and is promised the songs if he helps the old man on one last piece of business. This is a movie about "The" Cross Roads, the ...

Holy cow! 42 string Pikasso guitar?

So I'm sitting here watching Legends of Jazz on PBS, and they have Jim Hall and Pat Matheny performing. Pat gets on stage and opens with this 3 necked/42 string monster called the Pikasso. I swear, I have never seen anything as unusual as this, but what he did with it was amazing! Anybody else familliar with it? Here's a Wiki link.

Now, I have listened to a little bit of Pat Matheny's music, but I will admit I have never seen him play before. After tonight, I think that will change.

A Very pleasant Morning

I had a BLAST this Morning, because I got to hang with an old friend, Billy Chapman. I have enjoyed his local performances in Brevard County for almost two decades. Not that I'm saying he's old ... but I remember back when he played with the Dinosaurs

In the coming weeks, I will be adding almost an hour of his original songs to the Music Library. Some are from his past Albums, several are from his soon to be released CD, and you'll get to see him play them Unplugged, and just for the Garage.

Best ...
